Congratulations to the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa's Dr. Tomoaki Miura, inducted as an American Association for the Advancement of Sciences Fellow in September. Dr. Miura is professor and chair of Natural Resources and Environmental Management, one of five College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources departments supported with Honolulu ARCS Scholar Awards. He was named a fellow of the AAAS Biological Sciences section for “distinguished and sustained contributions to the application of advanced remote sensing technology in the fields of agriculture, conservation biology, and ecology,” AAAS wrote.
